Adevarat ca acum ia 10 mil/sezon, dar tinind cont ca atunci cind el a semnat contractul alti SF luau sume mult mai mari, e underpaid. Tin minte ca pe realgm le-am zis alora ca Gerald e mai bun decit Deng si m-au luat de nebun. Insa daca ii compari acum si cu cele 13 mil ale lui Deng fata de cele 10 ale lui Wallace nu stiu cine l-ar prefera pe Deng.
Acum citiva ani a avut un sezon cu peste 2 stl/game si peste 2 blk/game, primul care a reusit asta de la Hakeem incoace. Deja cind esti in aceeasi propozitie cu Hakeem e ceva. Bickerstaff l-a jucat ani buni PF desi are 6'7 si frame relativ subtire - cred ca de asta a si fost mai injury prone, ca se apara la oameni cu 5-10 cm mai inalti si cu 10-15 kg mai grei.
Mi se pare unul dintre cei mai profesionisti jucatori din liga: n-am auzit trade request de la el, n-am auzit sa se plinga de bani, de playing time, de pozitia pe care joaca (SF l-ar avantaja mai mult). Face ce i se spune (de cind a venit LB a lasat-o mai moale cu 3p), n-am auzit sa se certe cu vreun antrenor.
N-a venit in NBA cu surle si trimbite, era doar un jucator atletic si atit, si mi se pare ca e destul de aproape de a-si atinge maximum de potential. Compara-l de ex cu Hakim Warrick sau Stromile Swift - cred ca erau similari ca atleti, insa aia au ramas cu atletismul.
Si chiar daca Gerald Wallace nu e omul care sa care o echipa deep in the playoffs, mi se pare un excelent sidekick. Nu cred ca s-ar plinge ca nu e el "the man" si cred ca merita din plin un titlu. Dupa mine cel mai bine s-ar potrivi alaturi de un SG (sau PG) care e f bun shooter ca sa spread the floor si care sa-i permita lui Wallace sa joace SF si sa aiba spatiu pt patrundere.
Un SG care e good shooter .... un SG care e good shooter ... hmmmm .... there was that guy ... Corey or something .... aaaa, right, Kobe. IMO Lakers cu Wallace in locul lui Artest ar fi nu numai mai buni, dar mai putin "combustive".
Wallace ar mai merge bine si linga Melo (eventual sa joace Melo PF, ca oricum e bun sa bully people under the basket ca Barkley) sau linga Arenas. Cu Arenas insa tot iti trebuie cineva care sa fie "the man". Linga Lebron sau Wade nu-l vad potrivindu-se prea bine pt ca si ei patrund mult, insa poate la Magic ar merge bine cu Carter SG, el SF si Rashard PF - toti shooterii ar crea spatiu si de cite ori Dwight ar fi dublat ar putea sa paseze la Gerald pe post de cutter.
In orice caz e timpul sa i se acorde ceva respect si sa i se recunoasca meritele. Si ar putea incepe cu un loc in ASG.

Gerald Wallace este ce trebuie sa devina Travis Outlaw si Trevor Ariza in cativa ani ! Si eu sunt mare fan G.Wallace ! Uite ca scoate rezultate cu S.Jackson , adica este un sidecick , dar si fara un star , he can hold his share !
Daca nu era injury phrone Chandler ( se pare ca OKC au avut dreptate cand nu l-au luat si a picat phisical-ul ) , adika un C decent , chiar aveau stats mai bune Charlotte!
Eu il vad mai degraba cu Tracy McGrady. GW e un defensive minded Forword ( care poate sa joace si PF - and for his size does it well) , dar cu calitati ofensive excelente , si cred ca s-ar potrivi mai bine T-Mac decat Stephen Jackson !

In sfarsit ma intelege si pe mine cineva !Most amazing improvement I have ever seen. Currently his adjusted plus/minus is plus-16.5. On offense the Thunder score plus-12.7 when he's on the floor, and on defense they hold opponents to a minus-3.8. His impact (impact is how a player changes team’s chance of winning game -- if you come back from down 20 near the end to lose by five this really helps your plus/minus but in impact it has little effect because you had almost no chance of winning game) is 23%. He should make first or second team all NBA. Thunder needs to realize they are much better with Green off the court. KD and Green have an interaction rating of minus-nine points which means that when Green and Durant are on court Thunder plays nine points worse than expected.
