La Redemption, Adam Flash si Messiah erau programati sa-l infrunte pe campionul CZW Justice Pain si un partener surpriza.

Messiah nu si-a facut aparitia iar Adam Flash a dat vina pe Maven Bentley pentru aceasta situatie prezentand cu aceasta ocazie inlocuitorul lui Messiah si noul membru al Pandora's Box, brawler-ul Ring Of Honor BJ Whitmer.

Desi CZW a oferit o explicatie conform kayfabe-ului prin Adam Flash, fanii CZW au ramas cu impresia ca Messiah pur si simplu a refuzat sa se prezinte la acest eveniment, lucru care l-a deranjat foarte tare pe Messiah.

The Messiah a prezentat urmatorul comunicat legat de eveniment :

I did not "No Show" CZW this past weekend. CZW knew I would be unable to do the show even before they officially announced I would be Adam Flash's partner. As much as I love CZW, I don't appreciate the fact that they allow the fans to think that I just "No Showed." The truth is, I have never really just " no showed" CZW. The times that I have not been at shows when advertised were due to CZW not being able to get me a flight. So instead of just telling the fans that the flight got screwed up, they make me out to be a "No Show." There have only been two times that I canceled on CZW after my flight had already been purchased. The first was at the 5-year anniversary show. That was due to the passing of my brother. The second incident took place when I got into a car accident on the way to the airport and I missed my flight to Italy. I hope this clears things up.

...The reason I was not at CZW was because it was my daughter's birthday.

Messiah s-a facut remarcat ca jucator major in Indyz prima oara in XPW cand a avut o prestatie incredibila in fata lui Sabu intr-un meci devenit clasic pt. acea federatie.

Ideea e ca The Messiah nu e un atlet incredibil, insa ca prezenta, e un luptator care poate fi usor main eventer in orice federatie independenta. Are charisma, are daruire, stie sa vanda foarte bine manevrele, grozav in-ring psychology (nu ca asta ar conta pentru un spotfest freak ca mine :D), nu are un deget opozabil (:D) insa asta nu-l opreste sa fie unul dintre luptatorii hardcore (nu obligatoriu deathmatch) cei mai importanti din State.

Imi aduc aminte prima data cand am devenit fan CZW , Messiah era cu siguranta un favorit , mai ales gimmick-ul lui de om normal , gata sa se bata cu oricine in plus avea o charisma deosebita , pacat ca a trecut odata cu uitarea incidentului cu patronul XPW , Rob Black .

Cum scanda toata sala CZW : " Fuck Rob Black!" sau faza cu publicul care scanda "You fucked Lizzy!" si inegalabila replica a lui Messiah : "And she loved it!" :D

On August 1,2002 two attackers entered the Messiah's apartment and what happened would be a brutal attack. They knocked at his door and he thought they were friends of his roommate and let them enter. He was playing video games at the time and saw them arguing in a reflection on his TV. They then locked Messiah's door and when he confronted them they began their assault. They struggled with the Messiah and took him to the floor. One of them had him in a chokehold and the other grabbed a pair of gardening shears which would be used to cut his thumb off. He fought them off and made his way to the door. They managed to stop him and one of them attempted to cut Messiah's penis off. They finally left and the assailants actually took his thumb with them! Speculation was that they took his thumb as a sort of sick souvenir to get proof for a paid hit. The attack received major mainstream media coverage and was featured as a story on the Sept 21, 2002 edition of America's Most Wanted. The focus of the segment seemed to point the finger at XPW promoter Rob Black (Rob Zicari) who may have ordered this attack as some sort of revenge for the alleged relationship of the Messiah with Rob Black's wife
