^ Why do you say that? I can't wait to see it!
I can't believe they're taking such a great show off the air!
A little thing called "poor ratings" cancelled. Going up against ECW head to head, plus replaying the show almost everyday, poor editing of matches, plus everyone know it would be for 13 shows the first season, not year around doomed it before day one. MTV realized it was abortion gone horribly wrong. Well , I liked this federation beacause I didn't sucked so much as WWE .There were really good wrestlers , but it seems that the audience likes more Cena and Batista than talented wrestlers like Vampiro and 6-pac

Do you even know what a spotfest is?
Do you even know what a spot is?
If you don't (and obviously you don't) STOP trying to act like a smark and go back to supporting John Cena, just like you should.
Also, please stop talking about stuff that you do not know, like why was WSX cancelled. Instead of posting you could at least try reading what REALLY happened. ;)

Sorry, but after i read that i thought i should look at the WSX episodes again, or at least at some of the matches. I have all the episodes, saw each and every one of them more than 10 times and i have to ask you: Are you stoned? Are you on crack?! WSX sucks(ed)???? You must be shitting me, honestly. WSX, without doubt, had the BEST matches i have ever seen. Not even in ROH, CZW, IWA, PWG, TNA and many many other federations you won't see matches like that. There are no pauses, no submission moves, just plain and simple WRESTLING! Check out matches like Teddy Hart & M-dogg vs Trailer Park Boys, Human Tornado vs Jack Evans or vs Matt Sydall, heck, check all the matches over there. If you give me ONE match from WWE, better than that, with more actions and with more moves performed, i'll admit that i'm an idiot and don't know what's good. If i was effing rich, i'd make a federation with that roster, it would be the best ever. All that WSX needed was a REAL crowd (i believe that those guys were payed or hired at least), some REAL commentators (they sucked, totally), and a bigger arena perhaps. The part with the bands is perfect, the matches are amazing, the in-ring comentator is friggin awesome, the whole idea of a federation without all the bullsh*t of stories, tales, etc is perfect. That's what i want to see. I don't want to see Mark Henry have sex with a 80 years old woman, or DX strip naked during a WWE show, or Bobby Lashley as ECW World Champion. WSX will be forever missed and i sure as hell hope that somebody with brains and money will realise the success that this federation can have and try to create it.

Why do you guys forget that I watch all shows as a WHOLE and not only the actual sport.in-ring performance ?
I didn't diss the wrestlers but the producing company.I'm no baby that tastes crap like that anymore, sorry. You turn wrestling into a lame-ass,pimp my ride style show, with a clown announcer and an emo looking comentator, with some ho's on the side, stealing 10 minutes of wrestling with their bullshit...you better get the fuck off my TV....MTV.
Co-incidentaly I saw that Human Tornado match.
You know I like H.Tornado, but still it looked way crappier than on CZW.

Well, maybe you look at the small details, although i said that WSX would have done way better without those stupid comentators...But i look at the wrestling, at the matches, and not even ROH has/had matches with that much action. That's what i enjoy, being kept wired the whole match, not with pauses of submission moves, with getting out of the ring, etc, etc. And certainly without stupid gimmick's/stories. I want ACTION in a ring and that was what WSX provided. Yes, MTV turned it into something, but the wrestling was way better than i could EVER imagine. The wrestlers were mostly the best wrestlers from the Indy federations, they had huge salaries most likely and did EVERYTHING possible in those matches. And that's what i admire. Action, no talk.

i have a question...do you have something against submission moves?i don't like them that much but they are an important part of wrestling and quite frankly, are the most realistic part of pro-wrestling.....in adition, some of them look pretty good, and those wacky Taijiri moves were awesome,IMO ;)

I need the "TALK" part.
Since wrestling is entertainment for me.It should cover all aspects, from the eye candy, perfectly edited promo videos,to the in-ring action.Like WWE in the Rock/Austin era or WCW.
Because I can see kids on YouTube doing great moves and they aren't even signed with Indy's,but you can't see entertainment unless it's a big company.
Hey,we all have different opinions.Like I say Ashley M. sucks and some say she's a beauty queen. :D Then again,if it's female and it walks....who am I to say no ?

Me, Mike^ and a few other forum members share the same taste in pro-wrestling ... so I might understand what he said ... it's not the actual submission style match that bothers him, it's the overtechnical aspect of a "old-school" match that bothers him ... for example I doubt he's too pleased with one hour matches such as the one between Samoa Joe vs CM Punk, American Dragon's or Nigel McGuiness' matches where there is a lot of technicality on the floor (which I like to call stalling :D) and despite the fact there is lots of stuff going on the mat, nothing's there that truly makes you get up on your feet and say "Holy Shit!" ...
Tajiri is one of my favourites and so is Lightning Mike Quackenbush, their style of submission wrestling is my favourite cause they are fast and do all sorts of wacky lucha-like submission moves. However, people who overuse moves as headlocks or bodyscissors and are basicly mostly "jogging for position" rather than actually wrestle are not really something I wanna see.
Please read the posts in http://www.onlinesport.ro/forum/showthread.php?t=30135 so you can better understand the debate between spotfest maniacs (such as myself, Reaper or Mike^) and the people who like the old-school aproach on wrestling (such as Dragon-Sin, Big Sexy or Ratonu).

well i'm not crazy about them either,i'm just saying that they shouldn't be ignored....in fact,if i have to choose a side you can bet i'll choose the crazy high flying, high impact grapling, fast paced, non stop action, lucha libre,Chikara,WSX,CZW,TNA style :D
in fact,to be fully accurate,i'm a sucker for the cruiserweight matches that were happening in WCW a while ago...you know, many ppl say that everyone watchet WCW for the nWo,DDP&others...well,they were cool but even as a kid i was into the athletic part more, that's why my favorites were Rey,Juvi,Psychosys,Ultimo Dragon,Dean Malenko,Guerrero etc. and not the nWo,DDP,Sting etc, :)
spot fests are good because they are a way for the wrestlers to push themeselves to the limit,to achieve higher and higher standards....
and as for the old-school,in-ring psychology,it's cool but not to the point were Triple H& Undertaker are getting 4 times as much salary as CM Punk or Rey Mysterio just cuz they are the "top dogs" :rosu:

Well HitScum pretty much said everything i had to say. I'm not against submission moves, but i'm against stupid matches like Ironman or matches that take 1 hour and which are filled most of the time with submission moves repeated over and over and with few in-ring action. And no RockBerg, you can't see kids which aren't signed doing what those guys did in WSX, you see professional wrestlers, wrestlers better than pretty much everybody in the WWE roster that just didn't get that chance, or better of, didn't want to have a chance to work in WWE. Why? Because WWE and even TNA limits the skills of the wrestlers. Heck, AJ Styles for example, he hardly does a Spiral Tap once in an year, what about the Styles Clash, haven't seen it in months. If he was in the Indyz, you would see him at every match doing a freaky move, improvising and doing his best. The big companies limit the wrestler's skills and that's what i hate, that's why i love federations that leave the wrestler's to do their best. That's a show. If you need the talk RockBerg, watch a movie, watch a show. But wrestling should have quality matches, matches with action all around the clock, wrestlers which do everything in a match, give everything just to entertain. You don't need a story to keep somebody entertained. Why do you think Charlie Chaplin's mute movies are way better and way more famous than half the movies that are made today? I myself am the son of an actress and i've played as well in my life and trust me, you can pass way more emotions, send way more messages with your ACTIONS, not with your LANGUAGE. And that's what i admire.

I'm sorry Mike^,but I grew up with exactly the "soap opera with a referee" idea of wrestling,to quote a documentary.
If I don't see the drama mixed with wrestling,it's just not satisfying.I do understand what you're tring to say,but I told you,I expect something else, because wrestling is booked and not a real confrontation.
If I don't get a build-up story, why in the hell would I watch a PPV and pay $50 for it ? So they better start talking trash...
Mike^
11th June 2007, 23:49
You pay $50 for a PPV (although only WWE charges that i think) because wrestlers risk everything in a PPV, even in WWE. But as i said, WWE is more risk-free, unlike Indyz. And yes, wrestling IS booked, but the fights are still completly unexpected. Without those fights, what do you have? A federation that tells a long and boring story. So let me get this straight, you want a story like Mark Henry & The 80 Years Old Woman in bed, or an awesome match like The Filth and the Fury vs Los Ponchos Guapos? The match has a story, a small one, but it has one. Unlike Battle of the Billionaires for example (the only good part in that was Rock's appearance in a promo), which tells a stupid story about rich people who don't give a fu*k about wrestling and ends with a crappy ass match where the chairman of WWE gets shaved, wohoo! Than starts to revenge himself by kicking Lashley's ass...That's like The Young and the Restless, or let me put it even better, it's like a Soap Opera from Acasa TV (romanian channel for soap-operas). Heck, to be honest, even soap-operas have a more interesting story than WWE bookers...I undersand that i want to see stories, but that you can get ANYWHERE, in movies, in theatre plays, etc, while you can't get an awesome match anywhere. Anybody can come up with a story, heck, i could make a gimmick for Vince McMahon in which he's gay and tries to screw (litteraly speaking) Bobby Lashley, than Big Show comes and kicks everybody's arse and therefor an alliance between Lashley and Vince is formed against Big Show, they bring in the New Breed as well and in a match the ECW originals appear and kick everybody's arse, than Cena intervenes and whoops everybody with his 5 moves and end of story, Cena wins everything, of course...This is stupid, with that roster there isn't much you CAN do and the current gimmick's/stories are completly stupid. While, a match, heck, between James Storm vs Chris Harris, with all that background, with all the hate, says way more than all the stories from WWE. Heck, why do you think that Vic Grimes vs New Jack story was so loved? Because they REALLY hated each other and fought with passion, with real hate. That's what i want to see, small stories, not stupid stories and AWESOME fights, with AWESOME wrestlers, with 24/7 action. Plain and simple.

I think Mike is aware that WCW and WWF are way better than what the E is showing now ... but, we love wrestling so much that we just can't give it up, therefore we constantly search for alternatives ... and IMO as well as in Mike's, WSX was quite interesting and showed new stuff in pro-wrestling, stuff that the average wrestling fan really hasn't seen before.
