Artur Andreyevich Gachinski (Russian: Артур Андреевич Гачинский) (former surname: Хиль - Khil or Hill) (born August 13, 1993) is a Russian figure skater. He is the 2011 Russian National silver medalist. He is the 2010 Russian Junior national champion.

As of 29 January 2011 (2011 -01-29)[update], he has the season's 14th highest total score.[1] The International Skating Union (ISU) ranks him 13th in the world.

Personal life: Artur Gachinski was born in Moscow. He moved to St. Petersburg at age nine to train. He initially formerly competed under the surname Хиль, which was Latinized as Khil or Hill.

Career In the 2005–2006 season, Gachinski won the bronze medal at the Russian Junior National Championships. In the 2006–2007 season, Gachinski placed 8th at the junior national championships and 14th at the senior championships.

The 2007–2008 season was the first season for which Gachinski was old enough to compete on the Junior level internationally. He made his debut on the ISU Junior Grand Prix on the 2007–2008 ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. He won the silver medal at the event in Estonia and placed 4th at the event in Romania to qualify for the Junior Grand Prix Final, where he placed 8th. He won the gold medal on the junior level at the Coupe de Nice and placed 9th at the 2008 Russian Figure Skating Championships.

In the 2008–2009 season, Gachinski competed on the 2008–2009 ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. He won the silver medal at the event in Spain and placed fourth at the event in Great Britain to qualify for the 2008–2009 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final, where he placed 8th. He made his senior international debut at the 2008 Golden Spin of Zagreb, where he placed eighth. At the 2009 Russian Figure Skating Championships, he placed 10th. At the Junior nationals, he won the silver medal.

Although he was originally named to the team to the 2009 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, he withdrew from the event before the event began due to illness. The 2009-2010 season was Gachinski's second time on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. He won the gold medal in Belarus and the silver in Germany, qualifying him for the 2009-2010 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final, in which he placed 6th. Artur placed first in the 2009 Coupe Internationale de Nice, first in the Russian Junior Championships, and 13th at the 2010 Russian Figure Skating Championships. At the 2010 Junior World Championships, he was in sixth after the short program. He rallied in the free skate, and, despite popping his planned quad, he still medaled in third.[4]

Gachinski began the 2010-2011 season with wins at Finlandia Trophy and Coupe de Nice. He picked up a viral infection a week before 2010 Skate Canada.[5] Gachinski finished 7th at the event, his debut on the senior Grand Prix. He was assigned to compete at 2010 Cup of Russia where he placed sixth. After finishing ahead of Russian National Champion Konstantin Menshov at the European championships Gachinski was chosen to go the World Figure Skating Championships.

Both he and 2006 Olympic champion Evgeny Plushenko are trained in St. Petersburg by Alexei Mishin.

Arthur este talentat si a avut la CM o foarte buna comportare, mai ales pentru un debutant. Daca-mi place? As fi vrut sa votez la "Deocamdata nu". Poate peste 5-10 ani.

Mie imi place de el, mi-a placut programul lui scurt din acest sezon, mi s-a parut ca i se potrivea. Dar Dumnezeule, ce catastrofa de program lung a avut! Saracul, la mondiale l-a interpretat cat a putut el de bine, s-a chinuit, eu i-as fi dat 10 la interpretare tocmai pentru ca a avut o monstruozitate de coregrafie!! Programul lung de anul trecut pe care l-a patinat la juniori a fost mult mai bun. Bravo lui pentru bronz. Desi multi stramba din nas ca a urcat pe podium in defavoarea altora infinit mai bun ca el, in ziua concursului el a mers foarte bine iar ceilalti nu :) Nimeni nu l-a pus pe Oda sa calculeze prost(din nou), pe Brezina sa rateze ultimele 2 sarituri iar ce i s-a intamplat lui Daisuke a fost efectiv de neprevazut. Pustiul are sarituri foarte bune si psihic tare. Dar are foarte mult de lucrat in continuare
