I know that probably few people even know who this guy is ... There is no secret this guy is one of my favourites for almost 2 years now

Although I've seen some of his work in Pro Wrestling Guerilla at the middle of 2004 when he worked with excalibur in that amazing tag-team and had a wonderful match with Samoa Joe, I became crazy about this guy when he came to CZW but I became obsessed with him after CZW Best Of The Best 5 Tournament... Apart from his high-impact moves and amazing wrestling style, he instantly became one of the biggest heels in the Indyz by not even saying a word ... Somebody who saw Dragon knows that his magnificent heel persona comes from what he actually does ... his interaction with the CZW fans was really bad ass, Zandig claims that was the reason he fired him ...

As some CZW fan best said it :

Super Dragon doesn't just go into the crowd because he is mad people are booing him, his character is this total bully prick and when he goes into the crowd it's exciting and wild and it also adds an air of fear and danger to his character. Nearly everytime SD has gone into the crowd almost immediatly security come over and make sure nothing happens. It's not like he runs up to them and kicks them in the head.

I think it's rather clever as it pops SD's supporters as he is a total badass and then those who hate him thinks he's a pussy. It works both ways, it's great.


Multiple vicious altercations with the fans resulted in getting amazing heat and not that cheap heel heat where you stand face to face with a fan and arrogantly look at him ... Dragon actually makes fans believe that he's gonna beat the cr@p out of them if they boo him or curse him ...

If you're interested in seing some of his work, do a Super Dragon search in our Multimedia Forums and you'll see what he can do ...

Now he's back in PWG but in that fed, fans see him as some sort of a wrestling god so he probably will be face rather than heel ... I'm gonna try and keep up with what he does and maybe inform you guys!

As I said, this topic is a tribute to one of my favourite wrestlers in the world, I really don't care if anybody posts!

Zandig seems to have offered some explaining about Super Dragon's firing ...

According to Zandig because Super Dragon gets involved with the fans and could result in a lawsuit(source: that interview he did at MBA). Despite the fact he has regularly held matches where pieces of glass go FLYING INTO THE CROWD.

I suppose Zandig telling one of his wrestlers not to jump the guard rail and threaten to punch people is too much effort so he let's one of the most talented guys CZW has ever had go.


^That is just blind hate towards Zandig,you have to understand why he did that. Super Dragon punched a fan at an ROH show ! So everyone knows what Supa' D can do .

From what I read on CZWfans forums, that fan pushed Super Dragon when he went into the crowd! But we all know that's the way Super Dragon gets heel heat!

I watched some of his work on youtube since i do not usualy download CZW. I have seen him on 1PW (i like this). Basically he is an amazing atlete but with a crappy image. I do not apreciate his gimmick, whatever this is supposed to be, but i think this problem is natural for someone that works in the indy scene where the gimmicks are not THAT important.
I would, however, like to see some of his work in a mainstream promotion like WWE or TNA. That would be quite a chalenge for him since i suspect he enjoys 10 times more to fight than to do the promo.

Why don't you like his image? I do admit he could work on his jumpsuit but his mask costs a few thousand dollars and it looks awesome ... His gimmick is also quite well defined ...

He's a puro-like masked wrestler that never speaks and just kicks your head in with his martial arts training and his Strong Style attitude ... He's the perfect heel in my oppinion, 1000 people instantly boo him just because this guy is obnoxious as hell ... he just flips you off, middle finger in the air and the crowd goes crazy ... that's what a heel should do!

IIRC Super Dragon never said a single word in his promos ! The man doesn't do any promos !

The indy fans look at him and say this guy has that ''it'' factor ,much like CM Punk had it when he began wrestling. He does have great heel tactics as Hitscum said.

Well, he did promos but he never says anything ... he had that great promo where a fan came to him and said "Wow! You're Super Dragon!" and Dragon just pushed his face in plus all the shenadigans he pulled with the fans before matches could be considered some sort of a promo ...

The only reason Dragon isn't breakin' out is because he was associated with CZW, that's why ROH won't book him ... I don't see how ROH decided to push Davey Richards yet not give Dragon the proper exposure ...

Super Dragon wanted to come to ROH, that is why he did all that feud with BJ Whitmer but the same way BLK OUT doesn't get booked in ROH just because of their CZW afiliation!

It's easy for ROH fans to call these people "Spot monkeys" when in fact 3/4 of the ROH roster is all about spots ... I've adressed this matter in the past in the ROH vs CZW Discussion forums!

There are fans like that everywhere, the biggest group like that in my experience are TNA fans. They diss WWE but they still watch in and then diss it later instead of just not watching it and praising TNA instead.

I don't deny most ROH fans are smart unlike the CZW crowd but the fact that smart ROH fans don't appreciate the talent of wrestlers such as Super Dragon, Joker or Ruckus makes them hypocrites in my oppinion ... I'm an ROH fan myself and I appreciate what this Indy fed stood for (with the original Code Of Honor concept and all that new innovative aproach on this sport) and I've watched it closely all through this almost turning into sports-entertainment evolution with feuds and promos and angles ... They may think it but I've never heard one CZW fan call one of their wrestlers a "spot monkey" ... I find this term derogatory ... I've heard this term used first on the ROH boards! I almost got drawn into judging wrestlers like that but soon I realised that's a wrong aproach on things as I didn't care much about in-ring storytelling and I'm very much into high impact spots!

CZW is lucky to get 100 fans at the show and ROH runs wayyy more shows than CZW a year . Thing is...CZW fans hate CZW ( thats great ) . I've never said ROH fans don't like Quack or Super Dragon, nor do they have anything to do with the booking ... however, the resentment exists since ROH booked Davey Richards yet they refuse to give Super Dragon a chance ... and don't say Super Dragon didn't want it, I've already adressed this earlier ... Also, BLK OUT openly stated in their interview that they face adversity when it comes to being booked in ROH due to their affiliation with CZW ...

I've adressed this issue separately ... I don't like ROH bookings and Gabe for not booking CZW talent, I don't like the fans for having that elitist attitude when in fact they could only wish their promotion's name was pronounced by a WWE midcarder during RAW.

I admit nowadays ROH is better than CZW but there was a time right before the ROH vs CZW feud when I could have stated otherwise, so let's not go there cuz that would be a long pointles arguement based on subjective oppinions and preferences! The reason why Davey Richards is getting booked is becuz everyone on the indy scene knows that he is the future. This is not just ROH, he is getting pushed all over the place. The thing is Super Dragon was going 2 get booked but he injured himself. Super Dragon right now would be a useless addition to ROH ,it would be an overkill of talent . Cant blame ROH for already haveing a strong roster . Don't believe everything a pro-wrestler says ( BLK OUT ) , that is a major problem .

I think dragon is going a little to far because let me remind everyone of this, the majority of people will say the top 2 indy feds are (they are not in order) ROH, and CZW and CZW doesn't get that much less than ROH.

Cuz from what I remember the lower midcard is filled with that Jimmy Jacobs/BJ Whitmer/Colt Cabana and other names mixing it up and those "Class Trophy" matches + we constantly see the same names on the roster each and every show ... honestly, except for the ROH vs CZW feud, for almost a year now I see the same card on ROH shows month after month ... And you know that every single time AmDrag is gonna walk out of the building with the belt ...

I admit CZW booking is pretty bad recently but at least it's unpredictable! ;)

I've been watching more of his work in the last couple of days (up until this week, I had only seen him in the BotB5 final) and I have to say he is very entertaining and I like him a lot. And if that statement didn't look gay enough, I actually like his outfit, too.
One thing, though... I can understand beating up some kid that gives you the finger (hell, I did that many times) and such... but spilling a guy's beer? No, no, no, that is so not cool!
Seriously now, I think he's great and I hope I can find even more of his work (maybe something a little more recent).
