Tonight during Raw Shawn Micheals started the show by letting everyone know that Stephanie McMahon was in a hospital in Conn. giving birth to her first child. He also said that Shane and Vince would not be there tonight because they are by her side. He also made a few jokes that Triple H was spying on everything at the hospital and that HHH had an inside tip on who the father of the baby really was. The crowd was really kinda laughing with HBK since over here it is common knowledge that HHH and Steph have been married for some time now.
About 1/2 way through the show one of the back stage interviewers came out and annouced that Stephanie McMahon and her husband Triple H has a new baby girl tonight. Their Daughter, Aurora Rose Levesque, weighting 8 lbs 7 ozs, and Steph are doing well.
In other late breaking news, Aurora Rose may be getting put up for adoption. Reports say the newly born baby girl keeps waving her little hand in front of her face while saying "You Cant See Me!" (Just Kidding)
Congrats to both Steph and Hunter. I wish them and thier new family the best of luck in the future.

With all do respect towards your good ideas, I thought we might extend the topic to discuss all WWE RAW's happenings here!

Thank you very much, but I got a feeling I am gonna be talking to myself in this thread..........lol!

Probably ... I'm trying to get some users from the Multimedia thread to come here but it's not like we're forcing anyone into discussions like other forums do by post count and stuff like that.
We'd rather have people who really know what they're talkin' about when posting rather than marks who post 1 line replies for the sake of increasing their post count and getting access to Multimedia ...

Oposite to your opinion dreamer, it is not like this at all. We al love WWE (especialy me) but lately i started to be interested by some othewr types of wrestling. I have to admit indeed that i love the stories from WWE and in my opinion this is how the pro wrestl;ing should look like ...only if they had more matches ...
About RAW today it is undoubtely the most advanced form of sports entertrainment and, speaking of ring psychology, they are unbeatable.
After some time i have realised that i was tricked into believing Cena is full of crap and i started to hate him, this is exactly what WWE management wanted. They have some pretty heavy guys in the creative team that even if we blame them for all the crap they serve us each monday night we still turn to them for another portion.
What made me forget about all their sins was that awesome match between Torrie and "that other chick in playboy" :), WET and WILD match!!! Indeed it was a feast to my eyes :ok:

That was the match with the water ballons right? It was a very nice thing to see. I also thing that Torrie is by far the hotties WWE female to grace the pages of Playboy.
Back in the 80's I lived up north and the WWE ruled. When I moved down here to VA I noticed there was more of an NWA/WCW following. This is Flair country though so that is understandable. But, I have always been and it seems I always will be a dedicated and loyal follower of Vince M. I have now gotten to the point where I fast forward through most of the matches but I still watch all the behind the scenes portions that the WWE will give me. The only problem with this is I dont want to come in here and tell everything that happened before all of you get a chance to see it for yourself.

ohhh, but please do tell everything that happends in weekenly shows and use white fonts for PPV's only (the white will be removed in a week from the wwe PPV hapening). Just avoid in the weekly show after the ppv to give any hints about the results of the ppv.
I am enjoying alot your reviews, they are not professional presentations but made with the hearth, which in my opinion, matters the most. You always manage to send your emotions to the reader.
Actualy this is why they hired me in Eurosport, becouse i was all fired up and i was talking with my hearth, everyone noticed this ... :P. maybe you should apply for some local show commentator position.

That would not be a problem. I dont mind talking about Raw in here. I guess I can let everyone know what happened so you can deside if you want to find it and watch it or just bypass it for another. Maybe I can find some more WWE fans that are still hiding in the shadows around here.

We are all WWE fans around here ... but most of us are what you call "smarks" and would rather talk about stuff that are harder 2 get by the vast majority of the audience, also we use these forums to develop our wrestling knowledge ... and WWE programming don't do that much in that direction!

I'm not all that worried about expanding my wrestling knowledge. I just want so see something that make me say "..............damn!" or laugh. Raw does that.
This weeks was pretty entertaining. It started with DX showing baby pics of Vince and Shane. It was pretty kool. Vinces was a baby with Vince's face and Shane's the same except it had a silver spoon in its mouth. HHH also had the first picture of the new McMahon baby. It was a baby with HHH's growling face and wearing a DX shirt. HBK said "That baby looks like someone I know, but I cant put my finger on it" as he was tapping on HHH shoulder. LOL.
Inter. Championship was up for grabs in a triple threat match. It was real desent. A very fast paced match. Johnny Nitro ended up pinning Carleto for the win.
The women came out to show us that they still cant wrestler but thier outfits keep getting tighter and smaller........so who cares if they can?
I think the best part of the night was when Flair came out to "discuss" things with Mick Foley. I swear I laughed several times at this. Flair has been a very animated person lately but tonight he let it all go. He jumped up and fell face first into the mat, dropped a couple of elbows, and for some odd reason (I got no damn clue where this came from) he just falls down and starts rolling across the ring! There was no wrestling match, but that whole segment is why the WWE will always be on the top! When 2 people like that came come out and talk for 20 minutes in the middle of a wrestling event.....you know it is all entertainment.
Randy Orton even had his own version of "Hogan Knows Best". In case some of you dont know this, Hulk Hogan has a reality tv show on a channel over here called VH1. Orton brought is imposters for the whole Hogan family. The funniest part was when the fake Hogan came out because he really looked a lot like Hogan at first. That is, until he got in the ring and you got to see he only stood as high as Ortons chest.......LMMFAO! that guy even sounded like Hogan. Every other word he said was followed by the word "Brother" LOL. It was great! Hogan's fake son said that when he grows up he wants to be a wrestler just like his dad. Orton said "Let me help you with your 1st lesson". Then he kicked Hogan Jr. and throw him out of the ring. HA HA HA!!!!
It ended with a match between HBK vs. Umaga. Umaga being unbeaten so far, and Micheals being alone since HHH was arrested for have illegal Cuban Cigars in his gym bag (stuck there by the McMahon's). HBK was doing pretty good against the huge Umaga until Vince and Shane started taking turns jumping in while the ref's back was turned. As soon as HBK turned around to get back to Umaga he was hit in the throat with a thumb and the match was over. Afterwards Vince took off his belt and whipped HBK across his back. Then he held up a chair while Shane-O super kicked in into HBK's face. The show ended with Vince telling Micheals that next week HHH will get to fight Umaga. Umaga has never lost, and now has victories over 2 former champions (Cena and Micheals). What do you think is gonna happen when it is time for him to "play the game"?

We Have Liftoff - Jeff Hardy returns to RAW
By Steven Schiff
August 22, 2006

Jeff Hardy returned to the ring Monday night, appearing rested and confident as he high-stepped his way to the ring. However, as Hardy told WWE.com, the anticipation of his big entrance had his emotions on edge.
“It was probably the most nervous I’ve ever been before walking out in front of a crowd,” Hardy said, his words racing faster than his mind could keep up with them. “It’s been nerve wracking, but exciting at the same time. I think it wouldn’t be as meaningful if you didn’t have the butterflies. The whole day I was almost in a trance, but after the second appearance I chilled out a lot.”
Hardy showed no signs of ring rust as he made his long-awaited return to RAW after a three-year absence. Thousands of delighted fans waved signs welcoming him back and cheered his entrance with a raucous ovation. When WWE Champion Edge called for the start of the next chapter in the Rated R story, Hardy answered and the two faced off in Hardy’s first WWE match in three years.
The adrenaline rush was pumping as Hardy emerged for the first time, but it was his second time out when he really took stock of the fans’ reaction. The warm reception and adoration he felt from the crowd in Bridgeport, Conn. helped him remember what he had missed so much about life as a WWE Superstar.
“I was a lot cooler the second time I went out – the crowd really calmed my nerves. It was overwhelming to notice all the signs that were out there, because I really didn’t notice them the first time,” said Hardy. “It was great out there. Everything was fine once I went through that curtain. All the butterflies were gone. The crowd really calmed my nerves.”
Hardy even noted that the crowd gave him a lift physically. Although many may have expected Hardy’s trademark high-flying repertoire to suffer from the long layoff, the Daredevil looked acrobatic as ever. He nailed Edge with a Twist of Fate, and connected on his signature Swanton Bomb, officially stamping his arrival and sending the crowd into a frenzy.
“I felt good, actually. I was surprised that I didn’t [tire out] quicker, but I felt really good out there, and I think I owe it all to the crowd, that’s for sure,” said an appreciative and relieved Hardy.
While the fans are clearly ecstatic to have one of their favorite Superstars back in action on RAW, perhaps nobody should be happier about Jeff’s return than his brother, SmackDown Superstar Matt Hardy. Together, they formed one of the most entertaining and formidable tag team duos in WWE history, and the younger Hardy is looking forward to the day when the Hardy Boyz are on top of the tag team world yet again.
“Up until tonight, I was looking forward to my big entrance, hearing that music again. Now that that’s happened, I’m totally looking forward to the Hardy Boyz getting back together,” he said.
For now, it’s one huge RAW appearance under the belt, and one huge sigh of relief for Jeff Hardy following a successful return to WWE television. He is excited to be back, and hopes to quickly return to where he left off – dominating the competition and awing the legions of WWE fans.
“I feel like I have so much to live up to and still do, so I plan to follow through with it and live up to what people think of me,” Hardy said, his voice growing excited. “Just thinking about all the time on the road [missed during the last three years], I know I need to go and do this while I can.”
2 WORDS ... SELL OUT!
Yet, I still like him ... I really don't know why!
Well, I realised that nowadays Jeff Hardy is the only reason I still watch RAW ...
And some dark stuff about another RAW superstar that just doesn't want to call it quits and still hangs on the roster :
A look at some of Hulk Hogan's dark moments
Posted by Aaron Rift on 07/15/2006 at 01:30 PM
Hulk Hogan has been the subject of controversy throughout the latter part of his career. Many fans and wrestlers alike considered him a "politician" who used his influence to secure a spot at the top of the roster. When asked about his apparent refusal to job or sell moves in a 2005 interview, Hogan stated, "Verne Gagne, for three years, told me not to go down to a knee. That put me into a spot where everybody wanted to say 'Well, he doesn't want to do a job. He can't work. He can't take bumps.' Promoters said 'Man, if you go off your feet, we're not going to make any money. You're the Hulk!' You need to know the whole picture of this business." Hogan is rumored to have taken down Gagne with a front facelock following a heated dispute that became physical.
Despite his success, Hogan rarely wrestled technically proficient matches in the United States, relying more on his charisma than his pure wrestling ability. In his tours of Japan, where workrate is appreciated by the fans more than theatricality, he would wrestle a more technically sound style and use maneuvers not seen by the U.S. crowd, such as the Enzuigiri.
Wrestling contemporary, Bill Goldberg once asked Hogan on how to become successful in the wrestling business, to which he replied "Less is more", meaning that taking a minimalist approach to in ring work while letting charisma get you over is the key. He is widely regarded as having acted as a catalyst in the gradual movement of professional wrestling away from sport and towards entertainment.
In 1985, on the TV show Hot Properties, Hogan demonstrated a chin lock on host Richard Belzer. Belzer fell unconscious to the floor and required stitches in his scalp. He sued Hogan for $5 million, settling out of court.
In January 1996, Hogan was sued for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman named Kate Kennedy. Hogan filed a countersuit citing extortion and was subsequently acquitted of all charges.
Finally, Hogan's lengthy career and multiple faux retirements have led to jibes about his inability to "leave the spotlight." Hogan continues to wrestle despite having an artificial hip and various nagging injuries. Many insiders and Fans have accused Hogan of "not knowing when to quit and call it a day", because in one form or another, Hogan continues to participate in matches or is involved in mini segments (such as a run in, or a Interview show), and effectively trying to "steal the spotlight from everyone else". As early as 1996, the WWF parodied Hogan (then working for WCW) with a character known as "The Huckster."
In August of 2005, Hogan was heavily mocked and parodied by his SummerSlam opponent Shawn Michaels. While many mockeries within professional wrestling are usually worked, Michaels actually worked in a "shoot" mode while mocking Hogan. Along with overusing the word "brother" One of these segments of mockery by Michaels was when he parodied Hogan's appearance on Larry King Live where Michaels (dressed up as Hogan) moved with the assistance of a Walker and suffered back cramps (a mockery of his history of back problems over the years). Michaels also poked fun at his backstage persona (when asked "Are you a good guy or a bad guy?" Michaels responded with "Well on camera brother, I'm a GREAT guy....but when the cameras go off brother- it's a different story"). After watching a video package on Shawn Michaels, "Hogan" responded with "Well, it looks like I'm going to have to do some serious politicing with Vincent K. McMahon". He also claimed that he didn't care about the fans either, saying "Once they're in the building, you've already got their cash in your front pocket". Michaels' comments were not only designed to mock Hogan, but they were used in reference to Hogan's backstage persona- it is heavily believed by WWE Insiders that Hogan used his influence to persuade Vince of the outcome of the SummerSlam match between himself and Shawn Michaels- and since Vince needed Hogan to appear at WWE Homecoming later in the year, Vince reluctantly agreed. However, many fans and insiders would state that during the match it was Shawn Michaels who impressed and carried the SummerSlam match with his performance and that they were disappointed with the ending of the match.
Shawn Michaels would appear on Raw the next night and continue to mock Hogan in his hometown, with such quotes such as "Unless he needs another paycheck, he's not coming back". Hogan responded to this in an interview with The Sun that he was disappointed with Michaels' promo and that he would, from hereon in, refuse to work with him anymore. Hogan's backstage influence and what happened to Shawn Michaels has been a concern with Stone Cold Steve Austin whom Hogan wants to have a match with. Austin has expressed interest in doing so, but also stated that he will have "none of that bullshit" (in reference to Hogan's backstage influence in the match).
Although the DX vs. nWo rumors first started when a fan circulated a photoshopped Survivor Series poster around the Internet, PWTorch.com reports that there is legitimate talk of running the angle.
WWE sources deny that there are any plans to bring Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in for such a feud, but they are acknowledging that the idea has been informally proposed in some circles.
At this point, the angle remains a longshot, but the Internet discussion of the feud (and the availability of Nash and Hall) could make it a reality.

At the moment, Sean "X-Pac" Waltman is not in talks with WWE about returning even though he was at last Friday's RAW brand house show as an invited guest. The holding point that prevents him from joining WWE is that he is signed to a contract with Wrestling Society X - MTV's wrestling show project. Waltman was able to appear at the WWE house show because the WSX contract does not prevent him from working non-televised events. He can also appear in dark matches, but if WWE wants him to appear on television, they would have to strike some sort of deal with WSX.

Former WWE star as I.R.S. "Irwin R. Schyster" and his real name Mike Rotunda was backstage at RAW this week at Madison Square Garden. He was being interviewed for a possible job as road agent in WWE
WWE will be utilizing three ring veterans to help younger talent develop their skills in the ring.
Rodney Mack, Marty Jannetty and Brad Armstrong have been chosen to work with WWE over the next several months. In addition to working with the younger talent, Mack, Jannetty and Armstrong may also have the opportunity to join WWE fulltime, according to officials.

I loved Rodney Mack, I thought him and Rosey could have pulled a great job if put in a tag-team, unfortunately that didn't happen ...

I'm so happy that Brad Armstrong has been signed. He's going to ECW which will be great. This guy is a phenomenal worker and one of the most underrated performers in the history of american wrestling bar none. How his brother got a big break and he didn't is beyond me.

Indeed! I've watched him when WCW aired in Romania ... But I've heard he's only going to do house shows and mostly job to young guys as he's there only to carry them and give them tips!

I didn't know where to put this:
WWE is planning a relaunch of its website over the next few weeks. According to an article in TV Week, they are going to change the focus from promoting the brand to being an entertainment site. They are planning online made-for-broadband TV shows ranging from 90 second to 20 minutes in length, such as the 'McMahon's Ass' cartoon and well as putting up matches up for PPV buys. Tom nocca, who runs 24/7 and is in charge of buying tape libraries, will be running it. (wrestle-net)
