For a brief moment I thought that the news it's about "Cowboy" Bob Orton, the father of Randy.

Rest In Peace!

It's sad to see how a wrestler/former wrestler passes away. Actually, it's sad to see how anybody dies.
A month ago, it was John Tenta's turn; now we have another death of a former wrestler. I did not see this guy performing, but it's still sad.

For me personally, this year was (until now) the sadest and the worst year of my entire life (and I'm only 23), because of the death of 2 very important people in my life.
So, I get very sad when I hear that someone has passed away.

P.S.: sorry if I have some problems with my english (grammar especially); I'm trying my very best.

I think that it was the 1st ever Saturday Nights Main Event. They had a gloved boxing match between one of Hulk Hogan's best friends who was known as Mr. T and Rowdy Roddy Piper's body guard and personal assistant "Cowboy" Bob Ortan. This came from some hard feelings that were left over from the Wrestlemania I main event, Piper -n- Paul "Mr. Wonderful" Orndorff (I have no idea how to spell his name) vs. Hogan and Mr. T.

I want to say it was late into the 3rd round when Bob Ortan picked Mr. T up in the middle of a boxing match and slammed him down to the mat. It was pretty funny at the time. He then left Mr. T down while his good friend Piper whipped Mr. T with that thick black belt that he wore around the top of his kilt. That I think was the first and only time i saw him in action.

Just because he wasnt the most popular one wrestling that night didnt mean he didnt give 100 % every time he got in the ring. He was taught by another great, his father, and he passed the lessons down to his son. He was one of, it not THE first ever "sidekick" that wrestling ever had. When you saw Piper you saw his best friend and true wrestling great...."Cowboy" Bob Ortan.

He will be missed.

^ "Cowboy" Bob Ortan

Ok ... We're not talking about "Cowboy" Bob Orton here ... he's not the one who died ... it's his FATHER! ... we're talking about "The Big O" who did not wrestle in the WWF/E, he only worked for AWA and Stu Hart's Stampede wrestling ...

"Cowboy" Bob Orton is still very much alive and doing well ...

Oops, my bad. I most of had a worse night at work then I though. I think I'm going to bed now.

I dont think I have ever seen him either now that I find out who we are talking about. He has a good wrestling family though.

One thing confuses me though! Are Randy Orton and Charlie Hass related or what? I guess they are from what I've read in the interview!

They are not related, they are just friends.
