DX was great when they had the anti-corporate angle, they where a couple of midcarders with HBK watching over them and they where getting bigger day by day with their controversial attitudes and funny schetches ... if you ask me, some of the old DX promos where kinda long but still they took out some good stuff, especially Shawn and Trips ...

Nowadays DX is a watered down replica of the old DX as we have 2 Main Event caliber guys going back together for no particular reason (except for their "hate" ... mmm, yeah sure! like someone will ever believe that one  ... yes, "hate" for Vince Mc Mahon) ... still, I think they'll put on some nice angles, this should be funny ... Let's enjoy it while it lasts!

I was a big fan of DX back in the day. They were funny as hell but they could also back it up. I swear i had the tape of them acting like the 4 horsemen and X-Pac was Flair and kept crying.....me and my friends would laugh at that every time we watched it.

The new DX is ok, but is just doesnt seem the same. Its like Triple H is there to make a point and HBK is just jumping around like his little puppy! HBK found God and will not take part in any of the more "sexy" skits they do and that is fine, but just watch him. Even when Triple H is doing the DX Chop, HBK is running back and forth infront of him. Jumping around, running circles. I understand he is all excited that he has a friend again, but he needs to calm down now.

I have just been sitting there watching.....and waiting.......for Triple H to finally have enough and reach over and slap the STUPID out of HBK, LOL.

^ Indeed ... I thought this was just me but HBK seemed like he was some sort of a lackey for HHH in this whole DX angle ... I do not like it one bit, the fact that Old DX was great consisted mainly in the fact that they started as a Midcard stable with a Klique/NWO attitude and did as good of a job in entertaining the crowd as the Main Eventers in WCW did!

So that's why they were great, not entirely because they were controversial but because they were also extremely funny ... The new X brings some good funny stuff but they just can't get that "4 or 5 Midcard guys trying to make it big by being themselves" feel to it!

Ok, here is where I have to step in buddy. The whole thing about DX was ENTIRELY because of the controversial things they were doing. Never before them did one organization go into another's area (Once the Sandman and Tommy Dreamer had ring side seats at a WWF PPV in Phillie and got removed from the building during the first match, but that didnt really count) until DX started going to every WCW Nitro taping. They showed everyone that WCW was letting people into thier TV tapings for free to make sure the seats were all filled. They had the personal security of WCW escort them from the arena property. They went to Ted Turners office building in Atlanta GA and almost went to jail. That was the stuff that made DX what it was. There was no telling what those people were gonna do next.

In WCW Rick Flair had a "passing of the touch" when he handed the title of the four housemen to all new members. DX had one of the funniest skits on this I had ever seen the next week when they redid it DX style. The funny part of it didnt start until DX made a name for not caring about anything. They had to become the "rebels" of pro wrestling before they could start the joking around.

Now, HBK really needs to calm down from his sugar rush before the show comes on, yes. The fact that the original DX was started with HBK and HHH just leaves the door open for anything now. I never thought that X-Pac and Billy Gunn made very good members. I mean they were always there and got into stuff with the others, but only Road Dogg had the attitude and mouth to be a real member. If they do add new members someone needs to think about that.

Heath Scumm
16th July 2006, 16:39
^ X-Pac was pretty controversial as a DX Member and they could work with Gunn ... but I do believe the Road Dogg tought Billy everything he did or said ... I don't know, that's just my oppinion ... Road Dogg just had it in him, you could see that a mile away ...

Well, I doubt they will make this DX Thing bigger, I doubt they will get new members in but that would be cool, nevertheless ... as internet rumours say, HBK will soon undergo surgery and this whole DX thing will fade out without any new young guy benefiting from it!I sure hope those rumors are false and that DX will become much more than a team, DX should be a controversial stable!

Billy Gunn was a damn good wrestler. I think you are right about him being coached, lol. If you go back and look when the entire DX was in the ring doing the "Lets get ready to suck it" thing.....all he would do was lay on his back under HHH and point to HHH's Crotch.....damn fine job doing that though!

I have a hard time believing all the internet rumors. A friend of mine told me that Stone Cold and Bret Hart was suppost to come back for one night during the last Wrestlemania. They were suppost to be HBK's partners. The story was suppost to be that Vince was going to put HBK in a handy-cap match against Himself, Shane-O and HHH. Vince was going to tell HBK that he could find any partner he wanted but if anyone from the WWE locker room helped him they would be fired. Then on the Raw right before Wrestlemania HBK would bring out his partners Bret Hart and Steve Auston. That never happened though.

The only thing I beleive on the net about stuff like that is the Ross Report from WWE.com. If you havent yet you should check it out.

Yea but what he says pretty well is the truth. You have to give him that.

Check this out. I had to work a little late so I just now finished watching Raw. I swear to you Hit I thought what you said about HBK going out for awhile was going to start tonight. I dont know if you have seen it or not but HBK got ambushed by the gay little male cheerleaders......again, lol. They were really doing a number on him too. They had the help of Shane-O this time. I have no idea what it is called by you know that move where the 5 members of the spirit squad each grab and arm, leg, and the head of some guy and then throw him up in the air about 8-10 feet to let he fall back down? They did that to HBK tonight, but for the first time he landed on his feet and started fighting back again. They got him back down and did it a second time and he hit hard! Then they went outside and got 2 chairs, opened them up in the middle of the ring and was about to give him a 3rd one. I thought for sure that was going to be the start of what you had said. But, at the last minute HHH (who was beaten up outside the ring buy the SS and a low blow by Shane-O) with the help of his trusty sledge hammer put an end to that plan real fast.

In the end DX was standing in the ring, with 1/2 dead male cheerleaders laying every, giving McMahon the DX chop yet again.

If Vinnie Mac really wants Sean Waltman to be in the WWE roster money will not be an obstacle. I think it whould be cool if X-Pac joins HHH and HBK in their match with Vince, Shane & Big Show at Unforgiven makin' it 3 on 3.

Heath Scumm
14th September 2006, 11:40
Well, actually, I really doubt Sean Waltman has what it takes right now to take it to the Main Event at a WWE Pay Per View ... he really didn't have what it takes to make it big in TNA, I doubt he'll be good enough for WWE ...

As far as it goes, he was never more than a last minute substitute for another Main eventer, coming from Upper Midcard positions!

When will DX actually act like a tag-team and actually compete for the titles? Try NEVER!

He was one of my favorites in the past and I think he will fit just fine with DX.

He signed with MTV's Wrestling Promotion but TNA would have worked with him if he wouldn't have pulled a major "no-show" at a PPV Event ... I can't remember when did this happen but I know it did ...

He was difficult to work with and very frustrated for not being pushed in the Main Event ... Honestly, he didn't deserve it!

I loved DX ten years ago and the 5 person version in 98 was fun but the current incarnation just irritates me
HBK needs a rest and a change of role to a heel,HHH is hogging shows and putting no one but himself over every week
Keep in mind these are two of my favourites when they are in their usual roles but this teen toilet humour from grown men in their 40's is not for me and they are booked way to strong

The worst part is that they (the teenagers) don't know that DX are making fun about Michael Boffer's abilities when they are doing the "Let's get ready to su*k it" moment.

*Note to everyone* If you don't want to read the whole thing, just read the first sentence of the part below.

I'm a teenager and I get it. Although, I know 10 times more about the 90's, 80's, 70's, 60's, and 50's than most people 4 years older then and more than most people my age. In fact, whenever my teacher starts talking about music, a movie, or a joke that has to do with a time period, he always tells me first because I usually know what he is talking about.

That's true, they are extremely over in every arena it's just a shame they don't use that to get over some younger stars that need the rub

each time i see he's 15 i say he jokes. Well, he's f'n SpEcIaL :D
However most of the WWE fans are regular kids and they are overwhelmed by the things wwe puts in the shows, especialy the DX pranks. I say they are somewhat amusing but really predictable. I enjoy yhem and, as i previously said, they are a main reason i still watch WWE.

P.S. i love that 50's feeling and the late 70's and 80's music.

I hate DX jokes and I can't believe others my age could find them so amusing. I get more laughs at crap horror movies with involuntary humor.

And yeah, 70's and 80's music is the best.

I think after this RAW DX is getting worse, anyone they get near is instantly worth less than they were 5 minutes earlier, they are hogging over half the show with their juvenile schtick,i can barely watch RAW these days

I haven't watched RAW nor SmackDown for a couple of weeks now, not even Jeff Hardy or London/Kendrick can make me watch those two shows anymore ... I still look at the results though and PPVs ... I'm currently on my way on droppin' ECW as well as they seem they've completely taken out Extreme Rules matches ... however I've got 2 ECW weeks to catch up!
